Welcome to our web-based training (WBT) on the ergonomic design of work systems. Here, you can practice the evaluation of work systems, by analyzing different scenarios, which are presented as three-dimensional, interactive virtual environments. Your task is to identify the ergonomic design deficiencies hidden in the 3D-scenarios. There are five different 3D-scenarios, addressing the design of computer workstations and drivers' workplaces of utility vehicles. So far, these scenarios have been accessed 4290 times. ErgoScenes is part of an online research project. For methodological reasons, on your first visit you need to register, giving you immediate access to the application. On subsequent visits you just enter your user name and password to log in. |

Here, we investigate the potential of virtual reality for disseminating knowledge about the ergonomic design of work systems. For this purpose, we track the user interactions. All data is treated in an anonymized and aggregate form and used exclusively for scientific purposes. For our online research, we need the following information, in addition:

ErgoScenes has been created by Eike Branahl, Dietmar Gude, Philipp Kawalek, Holger Mescheder, and Andreas Prions-Dieckmann. The service is a contribution of the Virtual Reality laboratory at the IfADo to the joint project group INTEGRAL II , which develops a multimedia training platform for ergonomics. Questions or suggestions concerning the conceptual design of this service or its technical realization should be send to Dietmar Gude. Top |
